Serious Thread btw.

Anyways I'm now 21, I weigh 70kg at a height of 188cm, I jog everyday and started gym 4 weeks ago going 5 times a week. Now don't go overboard I don't have a serious man-boob problem, I went to see my doctor about it and asked if anything could be done (i.e surgery), he had a look and replied 'that's normal' so he wouldn't refer me. I seem to have extra tissue in my nipple area which causes my nipples to point out at least that's what I've been told by the doctor. This has stopped me from swimming since I was very young and I've never had a girlfriend. You'll never see me wear shirts because that's when it is most noticeable and it really puts me off. I'm quite often told I am very handsome but very hard to approach and that I should be more confident, how can I with this? Now what if I had a gf and she wanted to go somewhere sunny like spain near the beach, that would kill me LOL just thinking about taking my clothes of lol. So anyone else here suffer from the above? Don't be afraid now :D.

Am I just being ridiculous?

I think you're being ridiculous - seems like everyone has them these days :p

Although I don't :p

Just lose some weight and keep fit - seems like the best way surely?

i have a bit of boobage going on to be honest. and i have done pretty much all my life! but i dont really care. dont let them stop you achieving your goals. :p

for the record, i have a girlfriend, house and two children. so they certainly havent stopped me.

I'd do lots of weights, like bench press, and pack that chest out with muscle. Surely that would make the extra skin tissue a lot less visible?

I'd be more woried what she thought than anyone else. I'm sure she'll see you topless/naked in the bedroom before you ever go on holiday.

If you think you're suffering from gyno or a hormone imbalance go back to your GP and mention this. Ask them to check your testosterone/eostrogen levels.

Keep up with the exercise but more importantly get ontop of your diet.

So you're about 5'11"? and 70KG which would technically put you underweight I think? In which case you're likely not actually fat or suffering from 'man breasts' as a result. It might just be a genetic thing. However building up some muscle (all over) not just your chest may well help to make it less noticable. Increased mass on your back/shoulders/chest (and train your god damn legs too if you hope to make any real progress) could help you to fill your skin a bit and pull it all a bit tighter.

It may however do nothing or make it worse by pushing the tissue further out. I think you're probaly best off getting the opinion of some of your friends being brutally honnest as it may be worse than you think. Have you looked at them from a different perspective except looking down at them?

Get one of those Uplift bras & make the most of them. :D

BTW there's not an ounce extra on me anywhere.

Apparently, there's an actual condition that many men suffer in silence with: Gynecomastia.

In answer to your question though, no I don't.

This. Some men actually suffer from extra boobage tissue. No matter how much exercise you do, it is unlikely to have a huge impact as it is actual boob tissues rather than just fat. One of my mates used to suffer from it and had one boob. He got it surgically removed eventually.
