Anyone else intrigued by the Prius/Hybrids

In theory land yes. But you have to accept that is not an easy, quick or cheap solution.

Everything will need investment, but it is not silly amounts of investment. If we had not wasted money for 13 years we could have had improved infrastructure, nuclear power and so on.

Other countries who did not have socialist morons in charge are in a position to do this now, and many are doing it (or already have it).

Has anyone test drove a CR-Z? Saw a black on with gunmetal wheels in the dealer on Sunday and it looked quite smart! Was only there to pick up a touch up pen so I didn't enquire about a test drive.

Yeah I have on launch week.

I liked it. In Sport mode a US mag has tested the manual at 0-60 at 8.3 seconds and it felt quick enough when i tried it. Nice adjustability on the throttle with precise steering, its compromised for sure over a Type R old school Honda in terms of the EPAS and twist beam rear end but it for sure would make a great company car.

Wayne Gerdes of hypermiling fame has had one for 6 days from Honda and he is getting some very impressive figures again from the manual - 65mpg (US) and a 10 mile sector on 115mpg  Hes getting figures better than the CVT Civic Hybrid and Prius.

Why am I having difficulty finding 'proper' reviews of it? Also I heard the 0-60 was 9.9s which seems pretty slow.

All the official figures unfortunately have to be done in the default mode. Ie. Normal. So the 0-60 isnt as good as it should be, and the NEDC mpg isnt as high as it could be thanks to an obvious ECON button you cant use as oppose to an OEM hidden calibration mode or EPROM flashed ECUs that other manufacturers are using when it sees NEDC type stuff.

crzforum.com has a pretty extensive list of the reviews. I look on that once a week or so to see how its being received.
