Yes I agree and this was my argument in one of the other threads that popped up recently. It's a curious situation, good for the pocket but boring because the only real reason to upgrade is for forum kudos/benching. I think Star Citizen running on Cryengine as it does and being massively multiplayer will tax my current system to the point where I must out of necessity splurge on a Haswell-E and X99![]()
It depends what you do, I am not interested in benching, I think it's boring and pointless in terms of a hobby aspect, I will perform bench marks myself, but to use it as a bench mark to make sure my hardware is running properly.
That aside, high end/fast hardware for me is to be used for the graphics work I do, which includes rendering.
