(a 'bad' game is personal opinion obviously)
Last night I bought the new Deus Ex MD as I figured Id give it a try, after a couple hours in I think I have reached the point of no return as its not for me unfortunately. Why? I found the pace quite slow, weapons feel like potato guns, the 'takedowns' lack spectacle and its performance on my rig is pretty bad.
Disgruntled, I browsed my Steam library and came across Crysis 2 that I patched a long time ago with the Maldohd 4.0 mod and clicked play....Hours later I have had a right blast replaying this game and it looks awesome. I can max this game out with the mod and still hit high fps, hell I had to turn a load of settings off or down in Deus Ex for it to run moderately smooth.
This isnt a thread hating on the new Deus Ex as Im sure its the best thing since sliced bread for many but does anyone else always return to one of the their favourite games once in a while, especially after buying a dud? A game that always stands the test of time and ticks every box for you?
Ive got various categories in my Steam library for all my games ranging from 'Absolute ****' to 'Best games' but I have one top 'Ultimate' category for these games including Crysis 2. Its amazing how out of 287 games, only 17 are in my Ultimate category.
