Been playing through it again the last couple of days trying to dismount all the camera's, actually forgot how easy it is once you've done it and hoping portal 2 brings a little more action and maybe a hardcore mode to really get my head working.

what is the point of the radios i keep finding them scattered around but no idea if there is a point to them.

Also i've been trying to get the fall 30,000 feet achievement i dropped 2 portals and walk away and left it 20 minutes free falling cam back and still nothing?

I got it free from Steam a while back and never even looked at it. Just played the first 13 or so 'puzzles' and finding it hard to put it down!

There's an achievement for finding them all. They were added in an update as a hidden teaser for portal 2.

In my opinion, one of the cleverest and most superb teaser campaigns ever. The static played by the radios contain images.

Which in turn contained information to connect to an ancient BBS Board, which had ASCII art teasers for portal 2.

Amazing to think about. Just how people worked it all out from some radios put in with a patch escapes me.

Thats unbelievable makes me wonder how people ever find these things out. Gonna finish my game then go through it again and try and get all these radios,

I really wish valve would bring out some DLC for portal such as extreme maps, i did't really find the advanced maps hard enough and it left me kraving more :(

Much as I'm looking forward to Portal 2 I hadn't though about replaying the first for some reason.

Downloading now, thanks for the reminder :).

Really gets you in the mood for more and i forgot how addictive it is. And it still looks such a great game visually (might have something to do with the engine overhaul a while back tho)

Have fun and i'm really looking forward to meeting wheatley in 4 weeks :)

Played through it again last night and today. Will probably play through it one final time before it comes out, probs with directors commentary on.

It didn't have a engine overhaul, Half Life 2 got updated to the Orange Box version, which the Portal engine was built on.

Portal 2 is built on a newer version still, with dynamic lighting and other things.

Played it through a few weeks ago, did the 'Radio' achievement as i went and finished off the last few challenges i hadn't golded. The Companion Cube level (17?) step challenge is insane. I honestly don't know how its possible without using the jump/crouch move technique to go further with fewer steps.

Then downloaded the Portal Pro mod which has some epic puzzles on it. Portal Prelude was ****, was just a test of twitch skills and how much patience you had with reloading. Portal Pro used actual puzzles that you really had to think about.
