Anyone else reached the point where games just don't appeal to them...

4-5yrs ago I was a reasonably avid PC gamer...

Two kids later, I've realised that any game requiring much effort doesn't really appeal to me.

The ONLY thing I now really play is TF2 which I can obviously jump into for 10-20 minds...

I'm attempting to get into Mass Effect, but I obviously need to try harder...


I think, just maybe, I've just lost interest in playing games... :eek:
 
yup, games hold no interest to me anymore.

that and i dont have the time anymore.

looking back at the hours invested from my life into games, its incredibly sad.
 
It could be you're just bored of playing the same type of games?

If the kids are old enough to play games, get a Wii with Boom Blox, Wii Sports/Fit, invite some friends round, and you'll remember how fun and social gaming can be.
 
I know what your saying, I have stack loads of games that I have and now lost interest in. The latest being LOTRO, I have played it to death, and now there is no motivation to log in anymore.

The only PC game I seem to play regardless is Football Manager, and that sits on my work laptop too for playing on business trips.

For everything else, theres the 360 for me.
 
Same here

Haven't played a thing since Bioshock. And even then it only held my attention for a few hours. It's sad in a way but I really can't afford much game time these days.

Lately though I've been tempted at the thought of getting GTA4 and MGS4. Need a PS3 first :(
 
I find it very hard to enjoy single player games nowadays.

Unless it's multiplayer it generally doesn't hold my interest.
 
I was like this until I recently got a 360, PS3 a big telly and a new sofabed, nice change from the PC chair.

I have three kids and also work shifts so my main problemlem now is falling asleep mid game :(
 
Im in a similar place, just cant be arsed now.

Always loved FPS, would spend hours at a time just playing a 3 map rotation on CSS. Can't play for more than 10 mins now, just can't be bothered.

Driving games always distract me for a while, Oblivion also, but on the whole im just not that interested anymore.
 
I know what you mean dude! I think mmorpg's ruined single player games for me! Especially role playing games like ME, The Witch etc, i just cant see the appeal when i can play so many other similar games with other real people!

Why not follow up on that idea you may have invented/thought about or study something to progress your career?

Well thats what I would do if I wasnt playing games :)
 
If you're all so bored with games, why are you posting on a games forum? Go read a book or play with the cat or something far more interesting instead.

Shame there ain't GTA IV or PGR on pc, that way there'd me no excuse to get a 360 :D.

I find it more sad how much time I spend on these forums, games are so much more involving and rewarding, yet, I also can't be arsed a lot of times to play a game :(.

It's either being bored terribly, ocuk or gaming.
