Anyone else reached the point where games just don't appeal to them...

I dont play as much as i used to. I think there comes a point to where you have played all the genres to death so no matter what comes out you feel you played it all before i.e new fps is like any, same with rpg, same with driving games.

The only things in recent years that i really played proper is gta series. worms armageddon and recently guitar games like frets on fire and gh3. I try to play cod4 but tbh i like mohaa sh more as it was much faster pace and ww2 based and other things.

I have all the new games like grid, ass creed, mass effect but tbh they just dont grab me and so am not eager to play them for nights on end instead they get 10 min - 40 min sessions which are sparce.

Probably just growing up as games are really meant for teenagers, and kids. When your a adult things just dont feel the same and you have more responcibilitys in your life compared to when you were free as a bird except school and had mates who had similar interests.

At the mo i enjoy forum browsing and general net use and my music more than gaming, sad i know lol. Oh and im really into my anime at the mo and tv shows and films. So thats at least bit better than forum addict. :p

Nope - not one bit.

I perhaps play a little less, but that is only because I get less time now with my being older and all (in other words started work).

Games like MGS4 - if anything are proof that I do indeed still love gaming just as much as ever.

I only ever really play FPS, and with not too many good ones being released i find myself getting bored, i still occasionally dable in BF2 and 2142. But not for more than an hour at a time, It all got boring when the people i played with and went on teamspeak with kind of disbanded.
When BF3 gets released i'll probly go back to the 5 hours a night and longer at weekends routine. Have to find some new FPS buddys tho :(

completely execpt im a bit embarrased. (im only 16-17). used to be able to play all day, and done a few all nighters when i was like 14-15 in the days of school. then gcse kicked in and i needed to put a sock in it. its not that i dont have time...im looking for a job....

i can just about play for an hour or two spanning three games: 20mins each on bf2, css, any other game i play at the time. once i get a job , i cant imagine things changing, though i do still love computers in general, modding, building etc i still use the pc a lot in my free time. just not so much for games.

EDIT: im playing a bit of driving games, only for fun though, not some mega-tard finding every single challenge.

I think I am in a similar state, two kids, etc.

I have always gamed, only one at a time but I got Assassins Creed and it crashes so much that I stopped playing. Not played a PC game since.

BUT I got Lego Star Wars on the Wii and play with my five year old and we both love it!

Maybe when Lego is finished I will go back to the PC, or maybe it will be more social gaming until Stalker comes out, or maybe not until Alan Wake.

4-5yrs ago I was a reasonably avid PC gamer...

Two kids later, I've realised that any game requiring much effort doesn't really appeal to me.

The ONLY thing I now really play is TF2 which I can obviously jump into for 10-20 minds...

I'm attempting to get into Mass Effect, but I obviously need to try harder...

I think, just maybe, I've just lost interest in playing games...
I'm in almost exactly the same position. I still buy a game from time to time hoping i'll get into it but anything that takes more than 20mins at a time these days just ends up unused on the shelf. :(

Maybe it is just old age setting in :)

same here games just getting crap new games get boring quick not like old games but old games get boring two as u played the so many times. tf2 is good but it get boring two the new achievements keeping it alive the hl series was good but when u finish them once i dont want to play it again.

edit: might just leave pc and play some ps3

Agreed with people saying newer games are boring...
It just feels like squeals / repeating game play - saying that, my last completed game was Oblivion on the 360.

Games are losing appeal to me but CS:S is still my top game played over the last few years. Spore looks to be my next hit list.
