Whilst this is definitely getting on in age, it's still a great game to play.
More to the point, thought it would be worth mentioning an online server that I've been using for a while. In short, it's a persistent world where you have to start from scratch, but can happily work upto 40th level (NOT an easy task).
The world is well good and they've just added a PvP option for high level characters.

I still have this on my PC at home. Enjoy the game a lot and enjoy making rooms/towns as well. Its a hard learning curve, but bloody good fun to do.
 
I just reinstalled it actually, primarily because I just discovered an Eye of the Beholder Mod for it - brilliant stuff.
 
I might try putting it on my mac :)

Not played it for ages, but would be nice if I could get it installed on mac os as there aren't many games that I have for it.
 
yeah! started playing recently never managed to finish the game last time i played so doing it again, deffo wanna look into playing online when i finish the sp off.
 
If you guys do get the chance, go have a look at the persistent world server I mentioned. It's a well thought out action based server, with steadily increasing difficulty in the challenges. In addition, there's a pretty well done quest system which allows the purchase and modification of character specific kit.
It doesn't offer a lot of actual role playing, but then I've never been convinced by computer based interaction. Having said that, some of the chaps on the server do like having a good blather about quests, good, recovering the stolen chalice etc and the DM's are happy to play along.
 
I just got it installed on OSX :) ( wow the graphics are amazing with everything on full & 4xAA on :eek: )

Need to work out how to get onto the server now :D
 
I finally got round to downloading the CEP :)

I've just got onto the server and created a character. Had some trouble extracting the data from the exe's as I'm on OSX (ended up booting into xp).

My new character: Mortal Retribution

Says in server info 2 people or something lol :(

Might look for another server. The one I sued to play on seems to have shut down now
 
I never actually completed this, I'll have to stick it on my laptop to play when I'm getting bored in hotels travelling with work.
