Please give me a good reason to go back to this game, I miss how it used to feel, but after 10+ years of playing it seems very stale.

Looking for a new MMO, tried black desert but it didn't stick.

cancelled my sub few days ago but have pre ordered the new exp, ill wait till that comes up.

Been playing since TBC and still play regular. Active guilds make a big difference specially near the end of an expansion (still raiding 2 nights a week, alts need gear too :D).

Tbf, you'd probably be better off coming back when Legion launches (lots of people loving the alpha), can't wait personally to see the back of Gary Girlscream and his bloody relatives.:p. FOR THE ALLIANCE!

Never played it myself well ok i tried a trial once upon a time ago but didnt grab me. Maybe when it goes f2p one day in the future ill play it.

No i got banned for botting and I didnt argue it. Amusingly my "ban" is removed just before the expansion. how convenient.

Is there any reason why you didn't play vanilla? (the base game before TBC came out). Granted TBC had some great content, but vanilla was where it was at for me imo.

I played in late 2005 until late 2009, so saw vanilla, TBC and some of TLK. Skipped Cata completely, then played briefly in late 2014. I liked the content (Mists of Pandaria), thought it was well done, but the community side of the game had a lot to answer for.

2006: people enjoyed groups and raids, some leniency and banter, but we managed to get a lot done too (AQ40 guild). People were that friendly that we had many IRL meets in the UK and abroad. Most people were in their 20s / 30s.. the same people who played Warcraft 1/2 as teenagers.

2014: there are still groups, but you tend to get ninja-invites (no whispering before hand). The reception is icy, not much said across all party members. Lots of ninja looting. Players mostly emo teenagers, who were only toddlers during vanilla and weren't even alive during Warcraft 3!
