Anyone else struggle to get comfortable?

I realised today that no matter what car I'm driving, I always struggle to find a comfortable seating position? I'm having to constantly adjust the seat, especially the back, in order to remain comfortable.

I'm not especially tall or large, but I'm quite unusually proportioned in that my torso is quite long compared to my legs - shirts are always too short and trousers always too long!

Anyone else find this, or any tips that I might be missing?

It's not so much that I'm finding I get aches and pains, more that it never feels 'right'. I'll feel like I'm too upright so I'll wind it back a bit, only to feel like I'm too reclined 20 minutes later and have to wind it back again

Im quite long in the body too, the secret is you have to buy a big **** off car with loads of space.

Sorry iv had a few, i'l go now :)

Haha don't worry I'm used to that :p

I've always preferred bigger cars although oddly my hair brushes against the roof in the accord

Might change it for something daft like a 7 series now that my commute is 1 mile rather than 30 each way... Got the job if anyone's interested :D

Aye for all the stories ive heard about italian cars, the 156 doesnt suffer from the monkey driver position at all. Are all 156's reach and rake adjustable, or just the GTA?

My prefacelift v6 lusso was adjustable for both, so I assume so!

Congratulations that man!!! Well done, shall we start speccing you back into the world of proper motoring :)

Cheers :D

Not sure what I'll do car wise, will probably keep the accord for a while as it suits my need for something practical to use occasionally, but long term I'm not sure. Quite fancy some sort of German estate with a big engine.

Anyway, general consensus seems to be it's just me, so never mind!

Well I had the same problem in the Saab, which is generally considered to be very comfortable. It's not really comfort per-se, just being able to find a good position

The vultures can pick away, but I'm not changing any time soon and I wouldn't have seen the change of job coming, which had totally flipped my car usage on its head

I can't get comfortable in the BMW, which is weird given that I had one before and found it pleasant - must be the fact the leather seats are slightly different.

Any real 'old' car though tends to fit me like a glove - jumped in the Rover and that's immensely comfortable and very relaxing to cruise around in, mind you, a lot of those are inherently comfortable anyway.

You might be onto something, when I hopped in my dads mgb when he got it I instantly felt surprisingly comfortable!
