Anyone else suffering from man flu?

I started coming down with Man-Flu/Evil Cold last night. Crappy nights sleep cause I couldn't breathe properly. Got woken up by Mum phoning to offer me lunch at 13:30. Politely declined (she was shocked) and went for dinner instead. Extra-hot Turkey Curry to kill off the bugs. Mmm.

I had managed to avoid it so far this year. Slight sore throat for a couple of days in November and that was it. My immune system usually kills this stuff off quite quickly.

Here's hoping it clears up in the next couple of days so I can get my drinking trousers out for New Years Eve...
 
how come you always feel worse at night ,my throat was real bad last night then ok during the day now its real bad again ,mainly when I swallow but I can't stop !
help someone call a doctor :(
 
Just started to develop Man Flu, I've been rather "snotty" today and had spells of hot flushes as well as a slightly sore throat and a gobfulls of treacle. Looking forward to what tommorow brings....not.

Man Flu sucks.
 
I never got this whole "man flu" thing, women are ill all the time, like, seriously...

You even mention you have a cold or a flu, without saying anything else at all and women are all over you with "you mean man flu" or "pathetic man flu" or something. Jesus get some original material.
 
I came down with it last Sunday, seems to going though phases. Headaches, aches, blocked nose, sore throat and now throat gunk. :(

One of the worst holiday breaks so far..
 
The worst I've had is a cold. I've got various other things wrong with me, which my girlfriend nags me about, but I have a nasty habit of ignoring her and carrying on anyway :D
 
I've got something coming on and I can guarantee you it will get worse before monday night when I'm back in work.

Yesterday morning was the worst when I started feeling dizzy and couldn't stop shivering. Last time that happened to me, I ended up in hospital for a week :(.
 
Ive got my usual winter chest infection that occurs without fail every year. I get them so much i cant be bothered with the doctors anymore. Most things run their course eventually.
 
I had a throat infection for a day and during that time Mr. Flu noticed that my immune system was too busy to keep his guard up and joined the party.

So now im randomly throwing up, sweating copiously/shivering, walking like a drunk since my head is so full of crap that im constantly dizzy.

Just trying to power through it to get it out of the way for New Years Day. (Warehouse project closing party).

Probably why you feel like death, 4th baths in 1 day? You're probably shriveled like a prune! Go get some fresh air and clear your head, worst thing with a cold is to sit or lie down all day. Walking around or atleast standing up and moving keeps your nose clear and helps your headache!

Moved a tonne of gravel and taken the dogs for two walks today. No joy though, I think im just going to die instead.

I had really bad flu for about 2 weeks, I was inbed for 1 week solidly, couldn't eat or anything, lost atleast a stone. If anyone refered to that as man flu I would punch their lights out, please do not use this term it was inventedt by women who think we make it up when in reality men do also get ill but we also make up excuses not to see em so they get them mixed up.
