ju st started using it this week have to say would be good if i paid for it,

the fact its a free service its bleeding fantastic :)

all the best of c4 from past and present

currently working through all the father ted episodes and some bo selecta

fan bleeding tastic c4 wish all the channels offered a service like this

yup use it on and off, more off just now as my speakers have died. But for free its really good, no complaints. On a side note some people have mentioned its network usage can be quite high (you share what you have - much like a torrent) so if you are running a tight cap from your ISP then watch out.

At my old place we used to be with Homechoice, could watch a stupid amount of things on-demand. :o

really. i didn't know this was a sharing program  they kept that quiet, is it in the small print or something?

It's more the CPU drain that concerns me. You can avoid the sharing aspect but its pretty tiresome, I just stream the vids rather than download them and then I don't think you get the issue.

I forgot how good Adam and Joe was.

Reading my ISP (plusnet) info it reconises that 4OD uses p2p tech, but it is not on there shapping list as they relise this is just a side effect of the program, not the main use.

I like 4od, i do not like the fact that you can no set it to be ontop of other windows and you can't resize it :/ Pictures a bit blurry too.

Now i sound like i'm moaning oops, anywho great program always good to catch up on a bit of Hollyoaks :) +10 for channel 4.

I found it a bit flaky when I did use it, and the network usage was fairly large for me. I kept noticing my network traffic/Hard disk spinning when I wasn't doing anything (reading a webpage etc).

But you can't argue with free, plus you can stop the process when you're not actually using it ;-)

ITV, C4 and BBC are currently working on a project to amalgamate their VOD services into a single product where you can stream some for free, download others to rent and download to buy further programmes.

Should be good.

Is that on all their packages or just specific ones? I'm on Option 2 at the moment, but I'm thinking of upping it sometime in the near future.

I thnk that is on all of them, though im on some ya'old option the dont exist anymore, but have only been capped once and that was for over 150gb peek usage.

option 2 seems to be fine for it - linky

BBC iPlayer = Great. OS X support - Even more greatness. God bless the Beeb.

4OD = Peace of bloated crap. Did not have OS X support last time I looked.

Boo hiss Channel 4. :(

I installed 4od the other day on a old pc that I use for downloads, P4 2.4g 1gig of ram and so far it's not great!

kservice is maxing out the cpu (99% cpu load) removed 4od and reinstalled it.. still the same
