Anyone else use A Teapot?

I use a teapot occasionally but its a bit of a palava. The main thing that makes the tea taste better is the increased infusion room a teapot allows and the quality of tea leaves compared to bags.

Loose tea is tea leaves whereas the stuff that finds its way into teabags tends to be the scuff and dust. It will take a little longer to brew in a teapot due to the more solid material it is brewing (reduced surface area with leaves compared to the teabag dust) but will taste a lot better.

If you use a tea cosy as well, you will be amazed at how long it will keep the tea scolding hot.

The only teapot I have used is the ones they did at the Redback before it closed down recently.

To be fair though I am Australian.

My mum prefers tea made in the teapot. I cant be bothered with it personally. Typically just bung the teabag straight into the mug if I'm making a brew for myself.

Twinging English breakfast tea is the best tea ive ever had. Im drinking about 10cups a day

Teapot now ordered with infuser. :D

The standard of threads are in sheer decline. No offence intended at all to you personally OP.

And what would you like to discuss? Some people like to discuss things that interest them. I would much rather talk about tea than someone moving house or whinging about their job or love life.

Using filtered or bottled water in a hard water area makes a big difference too regardless of it being tea leaves or tea bag.

It's an arseache compared to other methods but tea from a teapot tastes much better to me. I've been brought up using a teapot though.

I love going to my grans for fish and chips on fridays followed by numerous cups of tea from the teapot its the only way to go :D
