.. My ISP has asked for my dB and SNR rates etc, but i cant find them on my linksys router setup page. (my old bebox displayed them under the connection information page) but i cant find anything similar on my router..

i have a WAG160N, but i know most linksys routers have the same setup page.

It should be under 'margin' on the DSL connection page. (Don't have the exact same model though).

Downstream Margin: 7 db
Upstream Margin: 24 db

Dosnt seem to show that on mine.. all i get is:

Status: Up
Downstream Rate: 640 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 Kbps

Encapsulation: RFC 2364 PPPoA
Multiplexing: VC
QoS: UBR
PCR:
SCR:
Autodetect: Enable
VPI: 0
VCI: 38
Enable: 1
PVC Status: Up

My mum has a Linksys WAG54GS and that doesn't have any ADSL info in the GUI at all - quite why they chose not to display this I have no idea. The only workaround I know for that router at least is to do the following:

1). Enable debug mode by going to this URL - replacing the IP with your router's IP of course - http://192.168.1.1/setup.cgi?todo=debug

2). Telnet to the router's IP

3). Issue the command: adslctl info --stats

Not the most easily accessible way of getting to it, but it works.

Did you do the debug mode URL I mentioned first? Your router might be different but on my mum's one I checked out, accessing that URL gives a "Debug enabled" message.

Yes it gives me the debug enabled message correctly but the telnet dosnt seem to want me to connect. is it just telnet 192.168.1.1 ?

On mine which is a BEFDSR41W

from the first page clcik advanced, then link test,

This gives me options for running tests that will give the results
