Been doing this for a while now. Actually, it all started with IE7 a few weeks ago and IE8 has continued the trend of not shutting down the moment I click on that 'X' in the top right hand corner.
Could be a result of an update I guess...but thought I'd ask if anyone else who uses IE8 has the same issue.
I'm running Vista SP1 (fully updated)
IE8 version 8.0.6001.18702
I've recently crap cleaned, defragged, disc cleaned and performed a complete AV scan (NOD32 v4)
And please no silly 'use firefox/opera/safari/chrome etc etc instead' replies, you'll be wasting your time. I've tried them...and still prefer IE.
