Anyone else's Logitech G5 middle mouse button a PITA?

Love this mouse so far, but the middle mouse button is tricky. When pressing it it's pretty stiff, and it's easy to press the scrolling function instead.

Has anyone else found this or do I need to RMA?

I had this problem when I first got my G7.
Having previously used a microsoft mouse, the action on the logitech was strange to say the leaset, and like you, I ended up scrolling instead.

Now I don't if I got used to it, or the button became less stiff, but I now have no problems with it.

A tip for you - install the logitech software, then bind the left scroll (i.e. tilt left on mousewheel) to middle click. It becomes much easier to use, because you need to apply only a small amount of pressure to middle click.

Thanks for the tip, but what does one then use for left scroll? I use this feature on the web and in Excel quite a lot.

Build up your finger strength is the other tip. I've got the G7 and scroll because I very rarely need to use the middle button anyway but it should loosen up over time a bit if you keep using it.

small note, my middle mouse button on my g7 has been damaged i guess, it's lost it's click entirely

the up/down/left/right scrolls all still work flawlesly just mouse 3 button it nigh on impossible to use without hitting another function aswell

but i have put it through some serious use and carrying situations so it's probably a none issue for most Gseries mice

Ive got the previous version of the G5 and i agree. It is a bit of a pain.
