to cut it short, ordered a graphics card, gonna take ages, so want to cancel, has anyone ever had a refund with anything , how long does it take for money to return to you ?

(i put it in general hardware, but no one answers, seem to be more active in here, and its about graphics card anyway ;) )

When i cancelled my x1800 XT a couple of years ago now by webnote, i was refunded the same day, mind you i had some other things on order as well still, just the card wasn't in and was holding my order up, so i webnoted and asked to cancel the card so they could then send the rest out. :)

hmm sounds good! im just fed up of waiting for superclocked, when i can get the BFG OC rite now :( gonna have to wait till tommorow to swap or refund though ! :( dammit

just so you know, its a bad idea to post a thread in one section, then later on post another thread on the same subject here just because it seems like you may get an answer faster.

I had a refund issue when my order went missing from their warehouse (seemingly stolen between there and the carriers base). Unfortunately they refused to return my money contrary to the Sale of Goods Act whilst they apparently claimed on insurance, one of their directors was very rude to me when I asked for its return and slammed the phone down and it took a letter before action to their head office to get a refund.

In mitigation, I'm sure this was a one off though as generally I've had good service with other refund issues.

is there not a 7 day return policy if the seal is not broken?

That's for software. Hardware, or anything else, you need to take reasonable care of the item.

Falls under the Distance Selling Regulations (2000) providing you didn't pick up the item yourself (i.e. it was sent to you).

oh my mistake, well then your best bet is just to ring them up in the morning and ask, i doubt a webnote would be answered at this time
