Anyone ever put a thermal pad on the caps / VRM of a delided CPU?

Kinda tempted to stick one over them when I delid my 4790k and see what happens

It seams like it gets blamed for a lot of the heat, so if we can get the heat out better, that's good right?

I would have to guess the thickness though, which might be a problem... Could cause uneven torquing and crack the die if I go too thick.

Thoughts?
