Anyone experianced no sound in RAGE?

My brother bought me RAGE for the birthday the other day.

Just got round to installing it only to find no sound at all!

Tried messing with my sound card settings and still no luck

After some research it would seem its due to the fact I have a Creative X-Fi sound card. Something to do with the DTS setting or something? Basically the drivers at ****

Has anyone had this problem and know a way around it?

Disable soundcard
Use onboard sound if you have it

I have the Creative XFI gamer. First time i loaded it i got this god awful static noise whenever there was sound. I Uninstalled, cleaned temp files and registry and reinstalled, making sure i used DX and C++ redist from the installer and works fine now.

I have on board audio but it sounds pap!! Only purchaed this sound card afew weeks back from OcUK!

if youve googled it, found its a common error and theres no fix yet, use onboard sound.
Or disable the DTS and dolby options from soundcard then try.

I've got sound but it's only stereo as far as I can tell. Wish it had 5.1.
