Anyone experienced with powerpoint

Hi all,
I have several peoples powerpoint presentations and I have been asked to put them together so that they can all be shown at once without any extra opening files etc etc.
Having never used powerpoint I thought I could cut and paste the frames from one show into another one. It turns out doing this loses all the formatting bgs etc.
Any one know how it can be done?

Are you literally highlighting stuff in the slide and copying it?

Try right clicking on a whole slide itself in the slide sorter thing on the left hand side of the screen, and copy & pasting that instead.

Yeah I did try that but it didnt seem to work...office online help methinks.

Are they both the same versions of powerpoint?

The key was to import the stuff...very silly of me.
