Anyone explain this banning?

They don't. If I or another member of the moderating team see them, they're removed.

You are making yourself look fairly bad here, just email a moderator, this thread will at best be closed, and more likely deleted because of the way you're conducting yourself.
 
If this is the ban I'm thinking of, then I'm pretty sure it was Telescopi who put it in place.

This is just the way of OcUK. I've been suspended a few times for trivial things, however last time I strongly disagreed and decided to email the moderator in question. He saw my point, told me that my polite E-mail was refreshing and reversed the ban.

You are not forced to post here if you do not like it. If you wish to post here, do what the rest of us do and stick to the rules religiously.

Slug, b the looks of it that post was edited...the original wording was rather different and very over the top.

At least going by the user note that was made when you were suspended (and having read the usernote I actually remember the post vaguely).


And what a surprise, the usual crowd of OMG the mods are nazi's rofllol are out in force.

I RTM'd it too.

It got trimmed in the Infinite Energy thread.

I quoted but the quote was trimmed also.

I'm fairly certain it was that one too, if you see my post in that thread it has a quote taking away but my opinion still remains there. :p
 
Ya know what -

So many complain about moderation choices... but I have admined several forums before, and admin one currently (I can't link to it as it's a business).

Bottom line is, we can only take action on things we see. There are 1000's of new posts per day, we can't see everything. And yet the amount of RTM's we get is very small, if you won't help, don't complain if we miss something!

If you did say such a thing SlugForAButt, you're very lucky to have been just suspended and not banned!

Cheers, I can see the original post now, and the one he's given as the reason is certainly not the one he was suspended for.

The one he was suspended for was made 28th Jan 2011, 23:20 so he wasn't suspended months later, but probably within about 8 hours (not bad as it was late night)
