Yes it will. If you can up the budget, upgrade the CPU to an E6600.

EDIT: Welcome to the forums BTW :)

yay :D cant wait. at the mo im running all the games i play on lowest possible spec :( it sucks, im still good at them all tho haha :P BF2, Source etc. it should be like playing a whole new game :D ahha

3 things,

aint raptor Hdd's the best? i thought they were meant to be the fastest?

Is geil Ram good? they seem quite cheap and tacky? (no offence to those who have it

in a coupe of weeks time will there be any recognisably better stuff i could get for the money? should i wait for newer stuff?

thanksss

Raptors are suppose to be fast but the seagates aren't far behind and they aren't really worth the money/noise (in my opinion before I get shouted at)

GeIL Ram is good for that price range, ofcourse if you wanted to spend more you could always get better.

There are rumors of price cuts for intel in April and AMD is planning on releasing there new cpu some time soon, but if your waiting around for new hardware you'd be waiting for ever with comps. The only thing that might be worth waiting for is the end of march when ATI launch there r600 chip.

1.) Raptors have a faster spindle speed than standard drives (10,000rpm as opposed to 7200rpm) which in theory means that data can be read faster however the diference is extremley negligable and IMO, not worth the price premium. Better to get a large drive at lower cost :)

2.) Nothing wrong with the GeIL RAM. Overclocks very well and has good reviews. And it's cheap ;)

3.) Can't think of anything coming out in the next couple of weeks- rumours of price cuts on CPUs soon but nothing definite IIRC. You may be able to shave a few pounds off the price by waiting but I would just go for it :D If you want to wait for hardware to come out then as Edward01 pointed out, you will be waiting forever as the hardware market is constantly changing.
