Hi guys, im about 12 months behind the latest developments in components and i was wondering if anybody (more informed than me) fancied having a go at speccing up a rig for a friend of mine.

His budget is £950 (ex postage, keyboard & mouse) and he would like a gaming oriented rig, including a 22" monitor. No preference on Processor or GPU manufacturer. So would anybody be so kind as to reccomend what would be best bang for buck at this price point?

Something like this is a little bit under the budget but I think meets all the requirements quite comfortably, the only thing is that the CPU is pre-order at the moment. I'd also recommend waiting until after the anticipated July 22nd price drops to see what other CPUs fall into budgetary range. :)
