Do you notice any difference? (Guess depends on area)

We're fitting a new kitchen so just wondering whether to bother with a filter unit or not for drinking water.

Comes through the fridge and has a filter on the pipe. I can notice a difference, wife won't even touch the tap water, cat won't drink the filtered water, so must be different.

Nope. I've found tapwater in London perfectly acceptable.

It has tasted strange in a few other cities, but 99% of the water I drink is London-based, so woot.

We have a Brita filter, but there is never enough room in the fridge for it, and I don't like my drinking water lukewarm.

We use a brita filter kettle. All drinking water ends up being filtered and boiled. Not from any 'worry' but just out of habit.

Perfectly fine up in Holmfirth and suprisingly enough down in Leicester. However all the girls in my house in Leicester use filters.

*All southerners so I just assume they're soft and pretentious.

All ours goes through a Brita fridge door filter, unless it's for tea.

The main reason for this is so it's cold, rather than necessarily more clean or tasty.

At my mums house i prefer the taste of the water from the sink in the bathroom to the kitchen, it is strange but it just tastes so much better.

Im weird!

different areas are totally different,
my house is drinkable direct from the tap
brothers place is awful, tastes bad and he has to filter it, even to make a cup of tea with
mothers place is slightly better but still has to filter to drink
