Anybody living in Crayford or its surrounding areas? Just contemplating on buying a property from this area and would like to hear on your opinions in the area. I have already researched to not touch Erith or Thamesmead at all :D

Any opinions on the local area would be great

I think mods should reset his post count to 0 for that :p.

edit: also, no OP sorry I'm not from Croydon either..

My Aunt has lived for many years 25 ~ and they not had any major trouble, no more or less than any other area.

I have my property in Dartford (main road) only problem I get is people park accross the drive way to get to the local takeaways :(.

How do :)

Currently live in Gravesend, but born/grew up in Dartford and know Crayford fairly well...uncle still lives there and I work there. Whereabouts are you looking?

Not too bad, whereabouts though? I'm a few towns away.

Good shopping facilities, couple of reasonable pubs (bear & Ragged Staff has live music). Mainline link into london, easy access to motorways.

Looking t Woodford drive which is about 0.5 miles from the station. So you guys recommend it then? Not too bothered about it being quiet it will probably help during the weekends actually. I'm use to living in small villages in Kent :)

I live in Gravesend and the times I've been to Crayford it doesn't look that bad at all ;)

Good retail park and a big Sainsburys :p

I'm in Dartford. Live right next to Bluewater shopping centre.

Crayford is an ok area. Good and bad about all area's I guess!

This. In this sort of area it really boils down to what roads are within half a mile of you to be honest!

Hiya

I grew up in Erith - okay not a great area, but the area near the thames is being heavily regenerated - might be worth looking in that area, as it is very up and coming.

Check carefully to make sure that the part of crayford your are looking to buy comes under Bexley - that way your children/future children will be entitled to apply to the four grammar schools , and excellent junior schools.

Any more advice just ask/PM me

I'll ask my mate who lives in Crayford where the "best" roads are, if I see him later.
