Anyone from Crayford

Yeah can you ask him for places that are good and bad.

He's by Star Hill which seems quite nice. He seems happy there. Will get back to you.

When I was house hunting, I confess I was looking on google streetview at what sort of cars were outside the houses and forming some judgement on that. :p Best advice I'd give though is if you like the look of an area, make sure you drive over there and hang around at different times of the day.

One place I was looking at seemed OK until I did a bit of driving around in the evenings and found small armies of chavs hanging around on the street corners and around the shops. :(

I grew up in Bexleyheath, moved to Crayford, then when I got married I moved to Gravesend. I gave all that up and moved up north a while ago, but my family still lives in Crayford.

When I first moved into Crayford it seemed a bit like a village, with the little park at the centre and the small shops. Now it's been taken over by the shopping estate and the huge supermarket, and the traffic is terrible due to the one-way system. It's lost a lot of what made it appealing to me when I was a kid.

Still it's a reasonably nice place to live, not really a centre of trouble or anything. Within easy reach of the M25 and other motorways, and on a direct line to London which makes it ideal for commuting.

Thanks for the input :)
Think we might have a look at the properties here over the coming weeks.

I Work in Crayford commute here from Essex, the only thing that's noticable is whats already been said IE traffic chaos! We work on the next industrial estate up from the retail park and all is mostly quiet really!

My Dad's from Erith, Mum from Bexley and I went to school in Wilmington which is very near Dartford.

Had some friends from Crayford - seemed okay to me, if anything, a bit "dull". Not in a bad way, but nothing exactly exciting.

Fairly good commuter links - think the station mainline goes to Charring X fairly swiftly.

I lived nearby (Bromley) for awhile and I have to say Sidcup/Crayford seemed like ***** central from an outside view.
