Anyone from Derby?

Hi, got to do some research work next week in Derby, Derbyshire.

I live nearby but dont know Derby very well at all.

I need to do some research in a area that is working class people, kind of terraced houses (coronation street if you will) and mixed ethnic groups.

If anyone is kind enough to give me some areas so that I can find and work from that would be great.

yes just Normanton, South Normanton is a diffent place (it's further north than Normantion )

normanton / sinfin are that area afaik

Allenton, Alvaston, Normanton all fit the terraced house description you were after. California if your after the student opinion but this time of year not much around. Or the estate off Uttoxeter Old Road.

If you wanted slightly better classes, then Littleover, Oakwood and Allestree. Mickleover is nice for the detached houses.

It's a small city so not really that far between all the areas anyway.

Jesus Rotty, why not just send him to Chaddeston too! Normanton is the ghetto.

Sunny Hill, Normanton (large multicultural community), Chaddesden, Allenton are all good bets. If you wanted somewhere a little closer to town then around the Stockbrook area (Stockbrook ST/Abbey ST etc.) is probably a good bet.

Chaddesden/Alvaston/Spondon all have some larger houses too and have some quite nice areas, probably not what you're looking for.

Yer normanton road has someone from everyplace in the world just about and terraced houses. If your driving up nd down that road take care as some of the locals just park anywhere and stop anywhere they want.
