Anyone from Hull

I'm from Hull and I can categorically say that its nowhere near as bad as the media portray. Those that often write those articles have probably never set foot ouside of their tower block in canary wharf.

I tell ye, you can do a LOT worse than Hull.

Kudos to all Hull Kingston Rovers fans on here. I'll be in that East stand for the Saints game, can't wait. Local derby was amazing too.

Lived in a village outside of Hull towards the coast, studied in Hull before I moved to Birmingham and now live in Oxford but try to goto any Hull KR games I can scrounge tickets for + away games. My heart is still in Hull.

Yes Indeed, Well, in a small village just north of Hull.

Also agree with chipspice rockin' the socks.

There are also too many Rovers fans in this thread - it makes Jesus cry.

Not enough Rovers fans you mean.

While talking about Chip spice, dont forget the patty!!!

I don't think there is anywhere else outside of East Yorkshire that does a patty. Prove me wrong though!

Also, Mr Gary, you are from Hedon, are you not a Rovers fan? If you are black and white then we have a Judas in our midst.

Keyingham Robin.

Worked on east yorkshire hospital for about a yearr, stopped in south cave, little village i quite liked it

Also had a few nights out in hull werent too bad i think there was a place called LA's (easy lays?) which was quite amusing to say the least

Which one (if you don't mind me asking)? I only ask as spent many of my younger years in one of them.
Swanland :)

Karoo isn't all bad. They might be a bit more expensive than potential competitors but their customer service is great. I've had more than my fair share of their tech support to get the most out of my line and I've had 2 engineers to my house without incurring any extra costs. Got one of them for the next day after I phoned!

The Hull patty is legendary, a true delight for the tastebuds. As for Karoo, it is a good quick service but |I would like to have some competition. Would love to be able to get a Virgin media package deal, hopefully one day some other providers might discover what is on the easterley end of the M62, and that means going past South Cave ;).

It's now in the process of being knocked down!

I'm from Hull*, to be fair its a decent place. Yes there are rough bits but isn't it like that everywhere?

*I slightly lie, born in Hull but live in a village near Hull. Moved to student diggs in Hull for 3 years, now back to my tiny village :)

Which one, out of interest? :)

Lexington Avenue was a dive. Thankfully shut down now.

I remember when Spiders used to be good. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Used to love going there, but last time it was just dreadful.
I went there on Saturday night just gone. Wasn't bad although the music was far too loud for the quality of the song being played or the speakers to keep up. I'd have preferred a better sound system.

Didn't drink however, was driving home so I can't comment on that.
