Anyone get scared playing games?

The original AvP was scary as all hell - not a suspense filled nervous fear, but an actual panick when the motion sensor starts blipping faster and faster, but all you can see are shadows - and the flares you drop to penetrate the darkness just make the shadows cast longer and flicker, making it harder to see movement!

I was such a wuss playing it back in the day, I always hogged the smart-gun just so I could pray-and-spray :p

I'm with you on that! probably the only game that has made me panic ;)

FEAR gavve me shivers, as I find the creepy girl thing, well creepy lol. Doom 3 that was a bit scary. Deliberately played it in a pitch black room by myself, was pretty atmospheric even though some people hated the torch thing, I think it worked well.

FEAR got me too. Think the worst bits were the lights flickering and that moment climbing the ladder and the flash image of the scarey girl standing there.

Doom was pretty much the first fps I played and some of the sounds in that were pretty creepy for their day. Awesome game...

Dead Space 2 is doing a good job of making me cack myself if i'm honest. Thoroughly enjoying it though, i guess i'm a masochist.

Must admit silent hill got me, can't remember if it was 1 or 2 where you're in some apartment blocks and you go into a room and the telly is all snowy with a chair in front of it, then you come back a little bit later and the telly is still snowy but now somebody or something is sat there staring at it

That's Silent Hill 2. I remember because i played it when i was little (parents didn't know i had got it, i persuaded the owner of a shop that i was 18 when i was actually 15) and when the monster jumped up from the chair it made me drop the controller and go stand in the corner for a while :o

Bad Company 2 made me jump yesterday when I got shot :P

I must say this game makes me jump a lot, i play sniper most the time so getting shot when in scope often does make me poo a little. Doom 3 by far the scariest game ive played, i found fear creepy but i was never scared to go into a dark room like with doom3 haha, i had a small go on deadspace and found it to be just the same as doom3 but didnt play the game for long. Ive even jumped playing lotro lol doing the pvp when you realise your alone then WARGED.

Yep it messed with my head! Actually had to turn it off a few times and go watch superted to sort myself out!

I've never been truly terrified by a game, but a few have definetely put me on edge. Resident Evil 2 and 3 were pretty nerve racking at times. As was Silent Hill 2.

Games like Doom 3 and Dead Space 2, although they should be scary as hell, dont really affect me as much. No idea why really.
