anyone give me some c&c on these images?

I'd like to see the focus in 3 and 5 on the wire, 1 is quite nice, play with it a bit 
saturation, contrast, the usual stuff
2 draws my eye well, but its missing something, and I'mnot sure what. might be the focus area again.

number 3 and 5, i didn't actually know the wire was there when i took them. was standing on a fence with the camera balanced on a post. i'm gonna head back up there soon and try and get it to focus on the wire.
i'm a newbie at processing, what would i be actually adjusting if i played with the saturation (contrast, brightness, colour curves etc i know - but not saturation)
with number 2, my eye is always drawn to the black bit near the centre. not really sure what i could do affect that?
