Anyone going to Fairford?

Is anyone going to Fairford next weekend? I still haven't decided about it yet! Might pick up some tickets in the week if the weather looks good.

If you don't know about Fairford RIAT, it's basically a very large airshow in Gloucestershire that attracts thousands of people, and happens to be very good for photographs

yep going for a holiday down there for a week from next friday,cottage im staying in is only 1 mile from the base so im going saturday watching it for free on the sunday from the house

then going monday for departures day

Yes indeed. Got my complimentary ticket yesterday. I will be taking the 300D + 18-55mm lens along plus tripod along to see what I can do

I just go on the day and pay the extra. At least if the weather takes a turn for worst you haven't wasted your money!

Drove to Mildenhall one year and the airfield was covered in low cloud/mist. Ended up playing footy by the car, eating the sarnies and going home. :mad:

No doubt I'll be contributing to the photo threads once I get back home and have a chance to sort through 5000 from Goodwood plus probably the same from RIAT :eek:

Oh and after I pop into OCUK for a tub or two of TY DVD-Rs

I'm probably going to be going on the Sturday now, as the weather is looking good that day! I'll have to buy a ticket on the gate though (£36!). Will anyone else be there?
