I may be going along on Friday, looks like a big event! Anyone else?
Anyone going to the Birmingham NEC Classic Car Show this week?

I've always been keen to go. Days like this always end up being about £100 though all things considered (like £18 on the day parking at NEC 
) and while that isn't necessarily a problem I do feel a bit guilty spending that much to go and look round some cars while my wife is stuck at home looking after our boy.
If we all go that £100 ends up being nearer £300 as we'd probably have to factor in an overnight stop.

Not going but a few guys with C2 and C3 Corvettes I know are displaying.
We just booked Goodwood FOS tickets for Thursday Friday plus hotel, that car event will likely set us back £1200, expensive to just look at some cars.

I'm going up with My Dad and a mate of his. He's a bit of a classic car fanatic. We also work on/make a fair few parts for various cars. I think some of our customers are attending, Marcos etc
Will keep an eye out for the Corvettes

There was a show at Silverstone earlier this year. I was interested until I found out that the tickets, which were £12.50 previous year, were £40pp and NO concession for kids aged 3 and over.
£160 for myself, wife and kids to get in, for a mooch around some cars.

Show was rammed. Some incredible cars on display. Many Cars for sale seemed more expensive than expected but there were a few decent deals to be had I think.
There was definitely a days worth of stuff to do/see but my old man and his mates just rush everything so we didn't see half of it tbh. But a good show

Not long got home from it. Had a day out there with work, superb show, lots of cool and iconic cars on display. Was super busy today, my legs ache too, there's so much to look at, didn't get to see everything.
I thought you'd have the opposite experience when you said he was a classic car anorak lol.

shall be there on sunday and looking forward to it, kids at home with the wife, non of them would appreciate it so not gonna drag them round
no club stand this year unfortunately so having to pay door prices however Sundays have always been reasonably quite

Yeah it was a weird one
he's got a few cars now but doesn't really like to be part of the community of it all which is odd. His mate just wanted to wrap it up and get to the pub.. lol. Was wasted on them tbh

Just got back from NEC today.
It really is one of the best shows of the year I’d say, a good variety of cars.
Car park pricing and general food/drink pricing was quite ridiculous. Think I paid £8 for a sausage in a roll (probably cost 50p to make). Starbucks pricing was at least 30% higher than usual.
I’ll post some photos later. I mainly enjoyed looking at the American classic, meguiars stand and the for sale section.
Spent a good 3 hours walking round, think I saw most of it. You could spend the whole day if your stopping at every car, or standing around chatting.
It really is one of the best shows of the year I’d say, a good variety of cars.

Didn't eat at the show, figuring the prices would be eye-watering. Instead went to Chinatown afterwards and gorged on dim sum

Yes very expensive to eat and drink there. If I wasn't going with work who paid for it all, I'd certainly recommend taking some food and drink with you.
