Think it's related to the gpu, only happens when stressed for half an hour or so, never does it on like css but bf3 etc it does. Anyone able to help?

It is related to the GPU, but the drivers. BCCode 124 is a driver crash, often display related.

What gcard do you have? Overclocked? Change whatever the driver is to something else and see if it sorts it out. Completely uninstall what you have at the moment and install the fresh driver in safemode.

BF3 is an awful gauge of how stable a driver is though as the games engine is extremely sensitive at the best of times.
 
Yup, 95% of the time graphics driver, gaming crashes are just system instability, its quite simply that the gpu driver is the biggest, most complex and uses the most cpu power and co-ordinates craploads of stuff so is simply the first to "go" when a system is unstable.
