Sorry to spawn yet another 2407 related thread, but I wasn't interested in this monitor until I heard there was an A04 version floating about that fixes the 1080p 1:1 limitation apparent in previous iterations.

As it is now fully x360 (or PS3:p) ready has anyone managed to bag one of these yet from OcUK, or even direct from the source? I'm assuming the current stock of A03's will need to be depleted before we see them in any real volume but they do seem to be a pretty popular screen at the moment.

I've not heard of this new revision but its typical as i just ordered one today

I will let you know if i receive one tommorrow.

Yeah that would be good thanks, let me know. I also found some more info on the various a04 tweaks. An odd quirk seems to have been introduced as well, something to do with a split image:

Hi,

I wonder if this revision fixes 1:1 output via DVI for 4:3 resolutions with ATI cards?

Interesting..

Damn. thye need to fix the issues after testing and not 7 months after the product has been released.

From OCUK or Dell direct?

No i purchased it from OCUK. Quite fancied the idea of 4 years warranty and also a saving on price too.

So when i get round to connecting my 360 its gonna be horrible?.

Unlucky with the A03, but I'm not too surprised, I think it will probably be a couple of months before they start to become more common.

There's a couple of limitations running with the 360, for example when set to 1080p output, the monitor doesn't maintain the correct aspect ratio and so stretches the image to fill the screen. I would like to get the HD-DVD drive at some point and don't fancy watching my HD films in stretchy vision.

In 720p mode the image looks great however, which if it was just to be used for gaming I would more than happy with. I would just prefer that extra bit of flexibility as it will last me for a while.
