Anyone got a 8500GT DDR3?

I'm interested in these for £50inc This one , they apparently clock really well due to the DDR3 memory. Has anyone got one? Im wondering what 3dmark05 they get?

I can only really find the DDR2 benchmarks on the web.

I was gonna give my spare 7800GT to my mate for him to use SLI for £50. I know it might not be as fast, but with a little tweaking maybe it'll almost be...

Not worth it since the 8500GT has half the number of processors then the slighly more expensive 8600GT.

Considering the 7600gt outperforms the 8500gt, selling the 7800gt would be a bad move.

Your going to have to wield god like overclocking skills to make it worth going dx10, its basically a 6600gt

Seems about half the 8600gt though that isnt a cheap card really. Theres comparison pics in the bioshock thread for the dx versions and it wouldnt look as good as either of those for you because you would not have the power needed.

I hope dx10 helps with things like particle physics because my gfx drops from 100fps to 20 sometimes in smoke which is poor. Even if there was that great an advance whats the point if you lack the basic ability to run the rest of the games rendering

That GT is DDR2 800mhz, these DDR3 ones goto 1400mhz, so it'll be muich faster.

Like I said, Ive seen the benchies for the DDR2 version... This one is substantially better.

It beats the 7600GT in the only review I can find.
