For your use you may be better off with the K11 I guess then if that's your use case. DT770 Pros are closed back, so any wider soundstage benefits of the R2R may be diminishing returns as a result. I guess you can try one out and return it and then get the R2R to sample that.I'd probably be using it mostly as a DAC. To play CDs through and from my iphone (currently Spotify but that might change to Apple Music), but I do have some Beyer Dynamic DT-770s (the might be the pro ones...) 2x25ohms which might get used.
Excellent, I output via USB to both boxes to satisfy speakers or headphones. It's about as clean as sound can get and 1:1 of the quality of the source file or stream itself. How does music from your PC sound?
Mainly because from the reviews that I watched and read from people who had similar gear to test with (Arya/Ananda Nano class planars) stated that the R2R gives that classic smoth warm and detailed sound that I am a huge fan of. It also uses the SGM 8262 OpAmps and an FPGA into the architecture is also a nice bonus. The R2R version does sound good but it's another £40. Why did you go for that rather than the standard one?
AdvancedMP3 and they have stock.OK so the place that rhymes with flan, is out of stock, the rain forest only has them on import from the states (and is also terrible these days). Where did you guys get yours from?
