If your sending it back to Gray Mole to be reworked, you could ask him to run the suction line through the bottom of the unit's case. That way you could have the unit sit on top of the P180.
messiah khan said:You sure you want a p180? I loved the case at first, but tbh it really annoys me now. Its over engineered and feels far to cramped. Can't wait to get my v2000 back off Gray Mole so I have a cavern to play with.

watercooling with 3x70cfm fans.
u won't get *quiet* phase, especially with that electrolux compressor.
it's not real advisable to keep shutting down/booting phase boxes daily either, the compressors prefer to be working 24/7 for best reliability.
marscay said:phase will never be as quiet as 'quiet' watercooling easy
the condenser and compressor both need a certain amount of airflow, i'd say at least 60-70cfm on each fan.....too little and your compressor will overheat and shutoff.
add the noise/vibration of the compressor and it just isn't quiet.
phase is a novelty, bet ya 50 quid even if you get the unit quieter you'll be jack of it within a few mths.....it used to be worth the gains for the hassle ...these days with c2d's hitting sub 4ghz on water with low-moderate volts it's just not worth the hassle except if you want to waste your life being a benching tool getting hard-ons watching super-pi![]()
