Was just told about what these can do last night, the only feature I'm interested is the ability to watch the TV over the net around the world....
Which would mean I could get UK TV in Slovakia !!!......at last :D
The Pro with the built in free view tuner looks ideal.

I have the classic which works fine :)
One thing to keep in mind is that it's very dependent on the upload speed of the location where the slingbox is located (pretty obvious really ;)). When my parents had their old BT ADSL the max I'd get over here in CZ was 280Mbps which gave a pretty ropey picture, now they have 10M virgin media I get about 480 which is loads better but still not perfect :) That aside it's good enough so you can catch something you'd otherwise miss :)

Is there any buffering and caching possible ?..... The upload would be from a BT landline/ADSL. Which I don't think is anything special. Here in SK we have orange fibre with some crazy 40meg line, insanely quick ! :) ........and most places in UK struggle to get over 2meg on a BT line..... heck I had nearly 20meg in Italy over copper !!...and that was out of town)

Yeah, is does buffer and the latest version of the player software will buffer/store the last hour of video that you've watched so if you need to answer the phone or whatever you just slide the slider back to where you left off and carry on from there.

cool, seems the online book store has it a good price....at £158.04 with free delivery..... least I will be able to watch the F1 in English :)
