Hi guys,

Tempted to get a new laptop and really looking to pick up a Tablet PC, but not sure the Tablet features will be anything but a gimmick.

Whose got one and do you use the Tablet features - if you do which ones? Do you find the features irreplaceable?

Also how resilient are the screens considering you have to write on them and everything...

Just trying to work out whats the best out there (need one that has a keyboard and the screen rotates) and if they really worth the extra over a normal laptop (though I already have anormal work laptop anyway).

I have a compaq/hp tc4200, I don't really use the tablet features though... For me it's just a really small laptop with a 5hr battery life and a reasonable-ish spec.
Screen seems fairly solid to me.

Occasionally the tablet will be used for random crossword games, generic doodling or whatever other timesink I can find.

I imagine it could be useful if you needed to take a lot of notes or sketch anything out.
Check out inkseine and you'll see that the tablet features can be quite useful.
 
Hmmm been looking into this more and for some wierd reason it seems a lot of tablets dont come with a DVDRW drive which for me would need to be a given.

the only one Ive found is a HP one but its a Turion. Anyone know of any tablets that fit the bill? I dont want a DTR but something with C2D...
