One more thing would be to look at modern hatches now. So the Polo/Fabia/Ibiza with the 1.2tsi which is getting good reviews for running costs etc. Also have a look at the 1.0ltr Fiesta.

The Seat Ibiza 1.4Toca has got some mental discounts right now, it can be had for £8795. Which seems incredibly cheap, there's got to be a catch but I can't find it.

The 1.4 n/a engine is less than perfect. It's getting on a bit but still returns an ok mpg.

Yeah its a bit high on emissions etc, but still that price is ridiculously low even so. It seems an awful lot of car for not very much money.

The wife bought the Ibiza Toca yesterday for £8275. She loved it and for the price you can't really knock it.

Considering you can easily pay that for one of the aygo trio that really does seem a good buy. I'd much rather we had one of those on the drive than the 107, can't see it losing masses of value either

They had an ex-demonstrator Ibiza Toca on a 14 plate that was priced at £10725. :eek:
