What bench results are you getting?

What would they be like at Quake4, Prey, Doom3 and FEAR at 1440x900. Would like some of the eye candy on :)

saw a review on sli 7600gt's think it was on guru3d.com. it showed the efficiency to be around 95% in most games, which is the best boos i have ever seen when using a multi card setup.

All those games run on OpenGL which tends to favour nVidia cards. I certainly noticed this as my old 6600GT SLi setup got pretty much the same fps in Q4 as my current X1800XT gets whereas in other games my X1800XT is way ahead. The 7600GT's are significantly faster than the 6600GT's so that kind of puts it into perspective :)

yeah i have twin leadtek GTs, i around 75% frame rate boost in quake 4 at 20" resolution, same with doom 3 (same engine more or less), far cry gets about 50% give or take but i have seen big improvement running them in SLI :)

when i made a rig for a friend with a 7600gt i dropped mine in for some quick testing, even on my desktop screen of 12x10 i got fps boosts of about 45% to 70%, dead good cards to sli 7600gt's :)

They are very good at the games you have listed and aa/af shouldnt be a problem.

My single 7600 GT even performs well at that resolution (well 1280x1024) with an AMD 64 chip.

Been playing HL2, CSS, Doom3, Quake4, Farcry etc and all smooth with max settings and 16AF, but there's a big slowdown above 4xAA.

With 2 cards you would be fine. Can't wait to pop another card in at the this week only price!

[edit: pretty impressed with this card for the price, I wasn't expecting it to be quicker than my 6800 LE because of 128bit memory interface :) ]

not expecting to be quicker than LE! it even kills the ultra un-overclocked i believe, overclocked your looking at around 7000 3D marks and about 15 - 20% frame rate improvement over stock, these are cracking cards

For sli on these cards to get 1.85x - 2.0 you need to push them res wise, you wont have a GREAT increase at 1440*900 but as you throw up the settings it wont like dent performance, eg the setup will last longer than a signle card but at first wont feel like 2x the power :)

dual 7600GT  even if it was only for a little while
