Anyone got the new Xbox Media Remote?

Now that the Xbox finally has some decent TV on-demand services as well as Netflix, I'm considering getting the Media Remote to make navigating etc easier.

Has anyone here got one, and is it any good? I can get it for £6.50 which is peanuts anyway, but just wanted to find out if it's as useful as, say, the PS3 remote which I use all the time when I'm watching video or listening to music on there. Is it supported across all the video apps?

its a life saver put simply! When I was trying to navigate pause, play etc controls with the controller in the windows media player it was just stupid. The remote makes it childsplay and makes navigation so much easier.

So its definetly a +1 from me!
 
I had one of these, the older one, shoved it in a drawer and never used it. Wish I could find it, would well come in handy now :(
 
I got the new one just after Xmas, a real good buy and makes life a lot easier, only need the one remote now for the Xbox and the Telebox - which is nice
 
Yes I've got this and the PS3 one. It's fine but it's NOT bluetooth/wireless. You have to point it at the console. Not a huge problem and probably means the batteries last longer. I take it you know about the older and newer versions because they look completely different.

Edit: ah I see you have the word 'new' in the title.

Cool, I'll probably grab one tomorrow then. I've had the PS3 one for years and it's great for media use compared to awkwardly wrestling with the controller to navigate or seek through stuff.
 
This is now £6.99 on Amazon at the moment, well worth it if you use your Xbox for movies, TV and music.

Works with all the apps too like Netflix, 4OD etc.
 
Aye, I'll have one of those too, cheers TheVoice.

I bought a Venom one ages ago because I wanted a black one, but it seemed to need the IR toggling between MCE or Both in the dash all the while to keep it working.
