Thinking about getting one of these, anyone used one? are they worth the £30? Can it be charged from usb?

Cheers,

That looks good. Shame they haven't made something similar for the official remote as I use that for PlayTV all the time.

I figure the keys are bigger than the slide out keyboard on my Vario III and I can type perfectly well on that so I'm hoping I'll be ok with this too :)

Anyone know if there are any other ones like this on the market at the moment?

Typing this using it, first impressions are not good lol

It is really cheaply manufactured to say the least.

The idea itself is a really cool one but they have not done a great job implementing it.

When I press the space bar which is in the middle it feels like I could easily break it with too much force.

However, i am finding it quite easy to type with. I will probably keep it as it is very small, light and easy to sling in the tv cabinet with the other remotes etc.

One major dissapointment is the fact that is is NOT BLUETOOTH which is a massive dissapoint because not only does it mean it requires a usb receiver taking up one of the precious usb ports, but it also means the device cannot be used to turn the ps3 on :(

Ok, after using it for a day I've decided it's too tacky to keep.

I think I'll be taking it back and buying the official PS3 keypad that clips onto the controller.

I can't find ANYWHERE that has it in stock at the moment tho.

Does anyone have one? Does it mate the controller (6Axis) top heavy?

Cheers,

G

I have one. It's good tbh, the trackpad feature is rubbish but i never saw the point in that anyway considering the DS3 joysticks will be right in front of you

I don't think it makes it top heavy, though i do have to take it off when i play street fighter, every other game is fine though.

I've got the official clip on keyboard, its great but it does make the pad a bit heavy. I've just put it on a spare pad & just pick it up as & when I need it.
