Anyone had a Mondeo AND Focus (Zetecs), if so what are the drivers seat like in Focus compared to Mondeo ?

I am a big guy at 30 stone and 6ft 2" tall. I have always owned a Mondeo but might go for a Focus, probably the Zetec range. Is the drivers area similar in the Focus ? Are the seats similar ? I am talking around the 2008 to 2011 sort of era. I know people will tell me to test drive a focus, which is fair, but it is useful to know about long journey comfort too. Thanks !

I briefly owned a Focus Zetec 59 plate for 5 months. The seats weren't too bad IIRC. This was 7 years ago until the car turned out to be a lemon and I part ex'd it for a 59 plate Mondeo. The Focus was lovely to drive, drove from Manchester to Edinburgh and it was comfortable.

Mondeo is certainly better in every aspect. You perhaps need to check the seating for your height in the Focus in terms of leg room.

As a big (ish) guy at 6' 3" and 20 stone, I'd most certainly recommend the Mondeo from a size / comfort perspective having driven both, for me it would be the Mondeo by a country mile.

The Focus imo has the edge on handling and sharpness that said, neither are sports cars!

I found the Mondeo FAR better for accommodating my frame.

6.0" here.

I've owned and driven both & currently have a 2012 Mondeo TXS.

Long distance the mondeo by a country mile. Feels big around town though

Forgot to add, I like the turning circle of the Mondeo. It is easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces. 70 litre tank is massive too. I easily get 650-700 miles to the tank with mixed Urban and Highway driving.
