I'm about 5 months into a 12 month contract with IDNet and have been out of work now for a few months. To be honest its become a bit of a luxury at £29 a month that I can't really afford. Its the first ever time I've taken on a 12 contract as I usually stick to a 30 day rolling contract even with phones and such. I'm truly regretting it now. Was just wondering what's my chances of getting out of it (slim I reckon)?

I've emailed them explaining the circumstances but I'm not holding my breath to be honest. Has anyone ever had any luck getting out of a contract before?

Well that was quick. IDNet support are second to none... I give them that. Got the answer I thought I'd get. You live and learn I suppose.

Try to find ANY flaw they have given you in the past 5 months! Any at all and use it to get out of the contract. You would be surprised at how often ISPs breach contracts. Take TalkTalk for example, I am pretty sure they have breached everyones contract at least once.
