Anyone had issues with Blizzard refunds? They're refusing a refund and making up reasons why.

My son bought MW III a couple of days ago, tried playing it and it was crashing constantly. No fixes seem to work (yes I've tried problem solving it) so he asked for a refund.
He raised a ticket and is getting refused stating he needs to have owned it less than 14 days and played less than 2 hours, the thing is he's only had it 2 days and has shown me the screen showing he's only played it for 34minutes and sent them a screenshot to prove this.
The customer service responses are pitiful, overly friendly and using ASCII art to try and seem 'fun'. Apparently 2 different agents have both raised it with a supervisor and they're really sorry but they just can't do a refund as he's played it too much.

He's now £40 down on a game he can't even start and short of doing a chargeback which would get his account banned (so losing all the other stuff he's bought therefore not an option) I'm out of ideas.
Has anyone got anywhere with them before? It's like they're not even reading the messages and it's so frustrating!

Where's the shrug emoji?

He satisfies the criteria for a refund and they're refusing to do so. The customer support agents are useless, not reading the tickets and apparently not even looking at screenshots attached. They're then either lying about, or passing it to a 'supervisor' who is making the same errors.

It's not unreasonable to want this resolved. The reason PC refunds exist is likely for this exact case, he can't use the product.

The 34 minutes was showing after he'd first asked for a refund and it was declined, and he'd not played any further as he couldn't.
I can't help but think because they use the same launcher for multiple games it could be something to do with that, but he'd surely not be the first one to have this problem.

Cheers guys, I don't have twitter/Facebook (get off my lawn!) so seems like we take the hit, a teachable moment on the scummy-Ness of large corporations!

He's tried a few things and I've taken a quick look, next step is to DDU and reinstall drivers and go from there :)

So, after a 5th or 6th (?) message and us asking for evidence that he has played more than 2 hours they've magically refunded it! Christ that was a slog.

And their messages are cringy as anything, they're trying to be 'cool' and they are failing miserably!
