Anyone had probs accessing the net after a Sky install?

Mate of mine called me last night. He had Sky come round yesterday and install the dish, Sky+ etc at his new house.

After it was all done, he fitted his ADSL filters back and tried to go online with his service provider which is AOL.

He cant get online. I dont know the exact problem, I'm going round to his place this afternoon to take a look.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced any hassles connecting to the net after Sky TV had been installed?.

Did he add a filter to his sky phone line?

Does a phone work on the one the router is connected to?

check the filter going from the sky/ phone line....we had ours changed there a few weeks ago and the net would connect but was struggling to download anything....checked the filter (double adaptor/splitter) and the phone had bypassed it connecting straight into the wall..hence bad connection.
might be worth a look....
