Anyone had the snip?

So I'm considering having the snip. Anyone done it recently and would care to comment? Hoping that 5 years on I can hope to hear stories like "it was painless and 100% without side effects"!

Got my daughter and wife and I are fully agreed one is more than enough nearly 4 years on.

I was disconnected a few years ago.

Painless and no issues afterwards, apart from a purple sack for a while. I will say I was on strong painkillers for three broken ribs at the time, so thay may have eased it somewhat?

From what I can gather, so long as you follow the advice the doctor gives you, you'll be fine; take it easy, nothing strenuous, etc.

Damm guys how do you do it, I would dread this imo i am nuts about this, People doing an autopsy on me and getting my wisdom teeth out! :D

Wussy i guess :(

Left nut took 5 minutes tops. Righty took 45 minutes as the surgeon had to fix a 40 year old botched repair to a childhood injury before modifying the plumbing. Righty was purple and a little tender for a few days, though the tight pants helped greatly.

Still, minimal discomfort compared to having a wisdom tooth pulled which resulted in a socket infection.

Do what the doc says. Exactly to the letter.

Had mine done last October, back to work next day, slight brusing but nothing major.

I enjoyed the pill they give you prior to having it done, didn't have a care in the world after an hour after taking it ;)

Encouraging so far, thanks gents! I don't have any budgie smugglers (just briefs), should I get some for this?

What's this pill? Do you need someone to pick you up if you're whizzing your **** off on some pill?

Is anything... different... afterwards? Sensation, colour of fluids etc?

No pill for me, injections straight to the nads.
Doc talked to me through the entire op, just to take my mind off it as fully awake!

Tight pants are essential for the following week. I cannot stress this enough.
I had it done during a booked holiday, but was in agony the following 2 days. After that was much better.

No problem during or after. I think 5 years ago now
Had mine under general as when the doc was feeling up my balls in the pre-assessment he was concerned the left one was retracting when he felt it. No S Sherlock. The missus was trying her best to conceal her laughter as she was in with us.
Definitely nothing to worry about though

Okay cool. How right must these tight pants be? Will briefs suffice? I will pick some budgie smugglers up if its really a must.

I was done 8 years ago - pretty painless (you can feel them pulling at the tubes but I would say it was painful). Recovered fine, rode my bike to work a week later. Been fine since, and despite my best efforts, the missus isn't pregnant yet :D

No difference at all - except that the frequency has definitely increased (no faffing with condoms etc - 'spur of the moment' sex happens a lot more often now).

Sold!

Had mine done under general anaesthetic 2 years ago. Little bit of discomfort for a couple of days afterwards and no sex for a few more days after that. I could feel the scarring for a couple of weeks but had no issues whatsoever.

I was thinking about he snip but after seeing and speaking to my next door neighbor at the time who got a bad infection and nearly became a womble I chickened out and my wife got spayed instead (her choice) so the family jewels stayed intact .

Spayed is running joke that she just about tolerates . Funnily in doctors appointment she actually said spayed instead of sterilized once I nearly choked laughing
