Anyone had the snip?

Do people honestly get the snip just so they can have sex without a condom? Unless you have a partner who is 100% against abortion, I can't see any reason why you'd need to get the snip.

The only reason people do it is so if their wife falls pregnant, they know shes been cheatin. ;)

So rather than having the snip; a simple and perfectly safe procedure, you'd rather put the woman through the physical and mental anguish of abortion? Achievement unlocked: Ultimate Douchebag!

No, the guy just wears a condom?

So wearing a condom is as good as bareback?

And the failure rate for condoms is as good as for the snip? Really?

Condoms are 98% effective. Out of 100 men who use condoms as their primary contraception, two will get a woman pregnant every year. That figure does include "user error" as well as outright failure.

Of 2000 men who have the snip, 1 will get a woman pregnant in the rest of their lives.

Had mine done 18 years ago, as mentioned the worst part was the uncomfortable pulling sensation which was brief ( and no that's not me giving a sample before anyone chirps in )

No regrets about it whatsoever despite being relatively young at the time, done at my local surgery after hours.

Tender for a week
Plums that looked like, well plums but fat ones.

That's it in terms of downsides, getting inked was more painful, also riding my raleigh mag burner after some halfwit had undone my stem bolts, attempting a 180 forcing me off the ever so shiny plastic saddle onto said stem with great force.

Those pads didn't do jack!

With regards to sensation, I got circumcised at 17 so I've got barely any left anyway :D

Didn't realise the failure rate of condoms was so high, I thought they were something like 99.9% hence people thinking I was trolling earlier.

I had it done back in April of this year.

Was nervous as hell going in! But the doc that did mine was amazing and made me feel very relaxed.

Yes its a local anaesthetic, but to be fair that didn't hurt much at all. After that I didn't feel a thing during the op itself. After the op I stayed off my feet the next day, at the doc's orders, and didn't have any issues afterwards at all. A bit of ball ache for a few days, but nothing major at all. Just make sure you wear tight fitting underwear afterwards though ;)

This.

I had it on a Thursday morning so took the rest of the day and the Friday off to recuperate. Bit of an ache but that was it.

Sounds like you also had the No needle, No anaesthetic method like me then.

Seriously guys if anyone is considering this then look for this method!! It was a breeze, no pain, no ice packs, no general anaesthetic, no John Wayne walks and no injection into your testicles!!!:eek:

I definately had the injections with the tubes pulled out to be cut and cauterised (with the lovely smell of roast pork).
They gave me a plaster with a local anesthectic to put on an hour before, nice numb sack so didn't feel the local.

I really can't see why people would have a general anesthectic for this, thie risks of a general are way too high compared to a local.

Yeah, had mine done 4 years ago after our third kid was born.

Quick injection into the skin on either side, small incision on each side, tubes pulled out through the slit, clamped, cut and sewed up then put back inside. Not painful at all, at most it was slightly uncomfortable and a weird sensation.

Didn't bother taking painkillers afterwards as it didn't hurt and I went back to work after three days - I'd agreed 3days off with work "just in case". Was back to cycling the week after.

Very happy I got it done and enjoying the bareback benefits. I'd say our sex life has even improved afterwards without worrying about pregnancy or condoms ruining the spontenaeity (there's a fair few "locations" we've ticked off the list after having the op done ;) ).

The more people describe the procedure the more my balls slowly shrink up inside my body, I think they've reached my upper intestines now...

The best thing about having the snip is you never ever get that smell of burnt rubber again.

Nothing like safe bareback riding.

I had it done when I was 40 - over 30 yrs ago which in those days was half bottle of whiskey and Doc had two bricks.

Have been child free ever since - if fact I am child free full stop.

Had it done last year. As most have said before, almost pain free. Nuts felt a bit of a low dull ache for a couple of days but that was it. Op itself was easy peasy. One bit of advice though, wear supportive boxers afterwards for a day or two and don't look at YouTube for the op before hand!!

Pah, the snip is a doddle. Try having one nut removed completely and a ruddy great big needle stuck in the other for a biopsy. That wasn't the best time of my life

Had mine done about 6 years ago. Was mostly fine, took over an hour though. The surgeon couldn't find the right stuff to cut. Well I say cut, my tubes were burnt. Could smell the burning.

When he was rooting around I could feel stuff in my lower abdomen being pulled down. No pain, just an odd internal 'tugging' sensation

Was pretty awkward to be honest. Young blonde nurse standing next to me whose only job was to hold onto the end of my todger and move it left or right on the surgeon's behest. We were talking about work and holidays and stuff - normal conversation with her holding onto the end of my todger.

Before I went into the procedure I had a fleeting concern about getting accidentally 'aroused'. Needn't have worried really, was far too petrified and embarrassed.

Afterwards healed up fine with no bruising. Took a couple of days off relaxing then back to work.

Had to take 2 samples into the hospital a few weeks later to check the procedure had worked. Handing someone a container of fresh fun juice, that was also fun..

Glad I had it done though - bareback is bestback!

I had it done when my lad got his diagnosis with autism me and the other half have 3 kids between us anyway we knew we wouldn't cope with another.
I caught an infection in mine and had to use the missis maternity pillow between my legs when trying to sleep so I didn't know my prunes with my leg.

Took me 3 months to get it done tho from the 1st time I saw my gp to be put in for it till the day I got my appointment to have it done

OP

I had mine done about 5 years ago
It will feel uncomfortable for about a week after, then it gets easier :)
The Operation takes about 10-15 mins, then after about 2/3 months you send a sample in the post then again another month later, you then should be given the all clear ditch the shrink wrap.
