Anyone had the snip?

So wearing a condom is as good as bareback?

And the failure rate for condoms is as good as for the snip? Really?

Condoms are 98% effective. Out of 100 men who use condoms as their primary contraception, two will get a woman pregnant every year. That figure does include "user error" as well as outright failure.

Of 2000 men who have the snip, 1 will get a woman pregnant in the rest of their lives.

Having had three kids despite the Mrs being on the pill I've got all the kids I want and they are little legends!

Going to get it done on Friday.

Will report back.

Good luck and enjoy your future knowing that there won't be anymore surprises....as good as they eventually are ;)

I had mine done private,i think it was about 3 months after my daughter was born, there is a thread somewhere on here about my daughter but ill sum it up.....she was born 3 hours after we found out my misses was pregnant, found out in a@e at 10am one sunday and at 1.40pm she was born, needless to say the £150 for the snip was a blessing after our shock :)

If someone offered this for free to me I would seriously think about it

29, no kids. Main thing stopping me would be very much limiting my future options if me and my partner broke up.
That said I don't think I'd go with someone who wanted kids.

...how on Earth do you not notice a pregnancy until 3 hours before the birth?

 Christ that must have been a shock!!! Most people get 9 months to get their heads around the idea and prepare everything....not 3 hours!!

Hope you enjoy her regardless :)

It is free.

Each to their own but I don't think I would ever do this. Have two kids and are not planning for more, but you don't want to limit your options. I have always envisaged that I will win the lottery in my 70's and marry a young gold digger like rupert Murdoch did.

Unless (god forbid) my entire family dies in a horrific accident I will never want any more kids.

I did consider more if we won the lottery, but realistically I would rather concentrate on the kids we have than have any more :)

Not having to use condoms/morning after pill/etc/etc is a huge plus.

Might have it done, myself. Need to have a word with the wife, though. I'm certain I don't ever want kids, and she's been going on about moving from pill contraceptive to injection-based. Might as well be done and dusted with it and just get 'em snipped... but I think she's secretly holding on to the idea that we might well decide on a sprog one day. No chance, if you ask me.

Good luck then mate you're going to need it.

Never get in the way of a woman wanting children.
